Time to start thinking about some serious trip planning

77 days and counting....I'm heading to GA for some R&R and to scout out some paddling destinations along the way.  White Water in WV perhaps?  April is just around the bend and I hope to get a lot of pre-trip workouts in before June.  The recent Kayak purchases have certainly changed the dynamics of the trip.  We will be able to cover a lot more territory, however, will have a lot less room for gear and food.  I love the idea of traveling light, the ultimate ultra-lite adventure, but I also like to eat real food and enjoy a few cold adult beverages as well.  I think the best plan would be to keep food and beverages in coolers at the cars and to make the necessary trip to resupply as needed.  A week of dehydrated MRE's is just not an option.  Meal planning is one of my favorite parts of every trip so feel free to start making special requests.  Joe, no need to request bacon and steak omelets, they're a given!  I also have a beautiful salmon filet that will make for a wonderful open-fire feast.  I'm going to try to come up with a menu that includes a hot meal and no-cook meal each day to keep our bellies full, so be prepared to share your ideas and favorite recipes.

Greg's trip boat!

Hey!  Check out the new boats and boat rack, and Albie got a little paddler to bomb around in.

Greg, that's yours for the trip.  Enjoy.
